Grinding Oil

Eltorro grinding oils are free of chlorine and heavy metals and are made from low aromatic, hydrogenated base oils. They produce very little oil mist and have a good viscosity-temperature relationship while being highly resistant to ageing. Extensive scientific research has shown the active ingredients used are physiologically harmless.

Our Oil range is engineered with high performance additives that have high pressure absorption capacity. Together with surfactants, this results in high surface quality along with very good cooling, wetting and lubricating properties. The grinding wheels remain clear and abrasive during use. The required force, workpiece surface temperature, and grinding wheel wear are significantly reduced. Furthermore, the products are very low-foaming and have good rinsing and cooling capacity.

Our oils can be used for all high-speed grinding operations with a wide range of materials including non-ferrous metals, CBN, PCD, chrome-nickel steels, HSS and carbide.

    This Oil is enriched with effective and unique extreme pressure additives derived from Sulphurized fats and effective surface tension depressants, which ensure direct contact of oil with the cutting edge. The effectively designed and formulated extreme pressure additives provide oil film of high strength, which withstands the heavy load of boundary lubrications. It can serve all the operations such as gun drilling, gear grinding on automats and moderate feed rates for gear Hobbing and broaching etc.

Honing Oil

Honing Oil is a low odour, chlorine free, heavy-duty, active sulphur base, low viscosity oil designed for honing and super-finishing of ferrous and certain non-ferrous metals such as nickel and aluminium and aluminium alloys. Honing Oil is particularly recommended for use in the honing of engine blocks and cylinders, and it can also be used for general cutting, screw machine, tapping, reaming and grinding applications.

    This oil is formulated by using highly refined low viscosity Mineral oil, with minimal aromatic content. Unlike conventional Honing oils, this is free from any common Chlorine and sulphur additives. Special types of EP additive used in Honcut - S takes care of easy penetration of the oil to the point of operation. Low viscosity ensures easy effective flushing and cooling. It has very good flushing properties.

  • The extreme pressure additives gives a film of good strength; this help in giving excellent finish and good tool life and no burning marks on machined components. It does not stain non-ferrous like Brass, Copper etc. and protects Cast-iron from rusting. Non-use of Chlorine & sulphur compound in Honcut - S is hygienically safe to operator. Honcut - S is very effective for Honing, Drilling, Boring, and Lapping operation.

    This is formulated by using highly refined low viscosity mineral oil, Special types of Sulphurized EP additives used in Honcut - ST take care of easy penetration of the oil to the point of operation. The low viscosity ensures effective flushing and cooling. The extreme pressure additives give a film of good strength; this help in giving excellent finish and good tool life and no burning marks on machined components. It is operator & environment friendly. Honcut-ST is very effective for Honing, Drilling, Boring, and Lapping operation.

Tapping Oil

Applying a high-quality tapping lubricant to your tap will provide cost-savings by lowering maintenance costs. Taps can wear very quickly and mechanical tapping will result in overheating. Not only will a high-quality tapping fluid increase the tap lifespan, it will also:

  • Remove chips more efficiently
  • Provide better workpiece control
  • Create more accurate threads with better surface finish
  • Require less sharpening
  • Prevent bacterial growth
  • For optimal tap performance it’s critical for the tapping fluid to reach the cutting lands of the tap at all times, regardless of the tapping angle.

    Our TAPOFLUID tapping fluid line-up features both neat cutting oils and water-soluble oils for optimal tap maintenance. We always recommend water soluble oils for both non-ferrous and non-metallic materials. For some exotic alloys, it can be a challenge to use water soluble oils, as their metallurgy demands the lubricity of a neat cutting oil. Where possible, using a water-soluble oil introduces water with superior cooling thus decreasing cycle times.

Hobbibg & broaching Oil

High performance Hobbing oil designed for rigorous Hobbing, shaping and shaving of gears on a wide variety of difficult to machine metals such as titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, hardened steel and other high nickel alloys. Our Hobbing oil contains extreme pressure lubricity additives that extend tool life and provide excellent surface finishes. It utilizes state of the art polar lubricants that enhance performance at the point of cut while providing superior oxidation stability for long service life, fewer rejects and increased productivity.

Mist Oil

Mist oil lubrication systems are becoming increasingly popular in a variety of applications where only limited oil feed supply is required. Examples include bearings of electric motors, pumps and compressors in many oil refineries and petrochemical plants, gears, cams, chains and sliding surfaces of machines in steel and paper mills, construction equipment and an increasing range of other industrial applications. Compact mist supply units are also available for use with electric motors, machine tool spindles and similar local applications.

Mist Oil systems present an attractive alternative both to grease at low-to-moderate speeds and to circulating oil systems for high speeds and high temperatures.
